Relatively new, opened in 2006, this wine and tapas bar gets its name from an old Cornish Pirate who sailed the seas two hundred years ago! Owner, Billy Martin discovered an old book in his attic, which told tales of this notorious pirate. (maybe it was him in another life!) A lot of time and money was spent on the restoration of an old greengrocers shop into Lascares (to Billy’s credit) and its shows. The restaurant has a nice selection of wine, champagne and beer to compliment it Spanish style tapas at very reasonable prices. It also has great outdoor seating which now encroaches into the famed rose garden right in the heart of town, you can’t miss it! Sit outside and watch the world go by! Isn’t that what helps make a great holiday!
