Even though there is now little publicity around COVID-19, new Coronavirus strains continue to evolve. According to the Office for National Statistics there were over 2.5 million people with the virus in mid-December 2023. Of course, there are many other seasonal viruses and infections that we may be more susceptible to as a result of lockdowns still impacting on our natural immunities.
All who have visited The Old Bridge House before will know the lengths we go to in ensuring strict hygiene standards are maintained, however, following positive guest feedback, we are continuing with some of the additional measures originally implemented to combat COVID-19 in order to reduce risks to a minimum.
Most of the steps we are taking will not be obvious but will include more frequent cleaning and sanitation of common areas, use of specialised products that combat and protect against Covid (and other viruses) as well as adjustments to room servicing which will minimise any risk of transmission.
On arrival, we will share our daily plan to resupply towels, toilet rolls, refresh your beverage tray and cleaning. We always provide new quality toiletries for each guest booking; please feel free to take these away with you when you leave.
Our sole objective is to keep us all in a safe, clean and healthy environment. We will continue to monitor Health and Safety advice from the Government and our Trade Associations so information provided above may be subject to change without notice.
And finally, whether this will your first visit or the latest of many, we want to assure all guests that we are committed to ensuring that your stay with us will be not just safe but enjoyable and memorable.
If there is anything you need to know about The Old Bridge House or what’s happening in Looe and the surrounding area, please give us a ring on 01503 263159, we’d love to talk to you!
Hope to see you soon,
