The Old Bridge House Hotel overlooks Looe harbour and the lovely seven arched Looe Bridge. The large sandy family beach is just a short stroll through the quaint streets of Looe where you will find a wide range of shops and numerous tearooms, traditional pubs and fine restaurants catering for the needs of both young and old. Walkers can enjoy spectacular views on the South West coastal path which runs from the beach westward to the picturesque fishing village of Polperro and eastward to the beaches of Millendreath and Seaton.
Looe is a vibrant fishing town with fishing boats returning at the end of the day with their catch and fishermen mending their nets by the quay. If you want a day's fishing, look out for signs on the quayside advertising deep sea and shark fishing trip. Crabbing is a popular pastime for locals and tourists alike. Diving trips around Looe Bay and Island can also be arranged.
The surrounding area is rich in tourist attractions which are great for family days out in Cornwall, they include:
