Pengelly’s was established on East Looe Quay by J.F. Moore, whose Grandfather and Great Granfather sold fish from a horse & cart travelling around surrounding areas. Jacks daughter Ruth and son-in-law Richard Pengelly took over in the 1970’s.
The Pengelly family is descended from a long line of fishermen and boat owners and tradition is carried on today by two of their daughters Angie and Jackie.
